Letter, 1809 July 25, Monticello to John Martin Baker, Washington, Col. [D.C.].

Jefferson requests Baker to procure wine, olive oil, raisins, capers, anchovies, and dates from Majorca. He regrets that he cannot supply Mrs. Baker with a view of Monticello since one has not been done. He expects Benjamin Latrobe to create one on his next visit. Jefferson compliments the Bakers and offers his services if needed in the future.
